Saturday 16th August - Le Cabaret - GUS WILSON Whether Gus came to your table whilst you were having your meal, or you watched his stand up comedy and magic show later on - you couldn't fail to be impressed and astounded with the magic performed. Gasps of surprise were heard from an enraptured audience all night, ending in huge cheers of appreciation!
Wed 13th and Thursday 14th August - Le Cabaret- ABBA ELITE Brought back by public demand - Abba Elite wowed packed audiences for two nights. Their very professional show, containing many of your favourite Abba Songs, had everyone on their feet dancing, singing and cheering.
They will be back soon for more spectacular shows- dont miss them! 4th August - Double Catholic Wedding - Benidorm- Nadine/ Martin & Debbie/Allan The sisters, from Motherwell, Scotland, had always wanted a wedding together. Their special day - one of the hottest of the year- was realised when they both arrived to bagpipes playing outside the church. The grooms and best men looked handsome in their black kilts and regalia. As the brides walked down the aisle of the recently beautifully refurbished St Jaime, the Bridal March was heard.
The girls in their stunning white bridal gowns were given away by both parents, and accompanied by their bridesmaids & flower girls. Their own family Priest- Father King - flew from Scotland especially to take the service- his first ever double wedding.
After the ceremony the couples went to the nearby Pavilion overlooking the sea for photographs. Later they were all were transported to a tropical garden in Calpe- where they enjoyed a BBQ, a midnight supper, a DJ for music- and as it was so hot- a dip in the pool! Congratulations to Nadine and Martin, and Debbie & Allan - a memorable day with lovely people. 30th July- Civil Wedding - Moraira Castle & Marriott Hotel- Jason & Shara It was a brilliant hot sunny day overlooking the sparkling turquoise Mediterranean sea. The beautiful bride was given away by her young son, with her two daughters as flower girls. Family & friends were tearful when Jason & Shara said their own romantic vows to show their love for each other.
After the ceremony cava was served at the castle , then everyone returned to the Hotel for drinks and canapes in the courtyard. Gus Wilson was MC- and as he is also a top magician- everyone, especially the children, was entertained. Suzanna & John Anthony performed a terrific flamenco show during the fabulous meal in the ballroom.
Later, top star Ray Lewis of 'The
Drifters ' had everyone on the dance floor with great music, followed by
the DJ until the early hours.
It was a wonderfully special day with a lovely couple who showed us that even when you have been together for some years and have had 3 children - you can still have love and romance in your life!
